Shedding the pounds and eating your way through it is not exactly revolutionary. In fact, it can now be considered a “clichéd” phrase in marketing a dieting program, but the truth of the matter is, you can eat your way to losing fat. Just don’t expect instant results.
Healthy eating and lifestyle change have been synonymous these days, and they seemingly come hand-in-hand. Eating your way to healthy weight loss is a controversial niche, with fads and strict diet regimens that’s released every now and then.
However, the basics to eating healthy have been laid down ever since the dawn of time – how did you think our ancestors get their physique?
Eat more protein.
More protein means more muscles, and muscles burn fats. Including protein in your everyday meal is extremely helpful to perfect this cause, but you can also guzzle up on protein shakes and protein supplements.
Get your protein from eggs, meats and beans.
Eat more fruits.
Any kind of fruit that is. Dieticians recommend eating at least six to eight servings of fruits and vegetables each day. The trick to get full nutrition from eating fruits and vegetables are color variation – yellows and greens have more vitamin C and B-Complex vitamins, while red and violet have more antioxidants.
Drink more water.
Time and time again, it has been proven by science that proper hydration, every single day does wonders for the body. Taking at least 10-12 250ml cups of water every day is a good place to start. The right amount of water in the body means proper hydration, proper bowel movement and stronger immune system.
